The Basics - Events - Damping

Whenever I add the event Entity: Create and set the action Damping, with both values to 1.0, torque no longer works. It'll flip if I do a value less than 1.0 but sinks through my floor. And, of course, any higher than that, the object just sits there.
EDIT:
In fact, unless I change Linear and Angular damping to 0, there is a chance my object falls through the ground(even for default values at 0.1). I can turn the torque down and probably have less need for that(for the time being) but just trying to follow the tutorial. Anyone know what to do?

No, I'm using 0.12, it's the only one I use.
I also never had this issue, or never noticed it at least.

Hmm.. well I had it with both using the event and doing it directly under the objects physical properties.
